This is actually a project situated in a slum area of Nairobi commonly known as Kiambiu. Kiambiu is between the Buru buru estate and the Kenya Air force fence. It lies in the Eastern side of the capital city of Kenya Nairobi, around 10 kilometers from city Center.
Kiambiu
is among the densily populated slums in Nairobi. Approximately 50,000 -60,000 adults live there in an area covering 2 kilometres. Basic utilities are sparse, disease is rife and for many a basic meal only happens once every few days. Education is just a dream, school fees prohibit most families sending their children to school. Medical care is a luxury.
Our core values are:
The final authority in God’s sovereignty as revealed in the Word of God The inherent worth and potential of each child A commitment to transparency, accountability and stewardship Consistency in the quality of service delivered to internal and external stakeholders
NAIROBI THE CAPITAL CITY
Nairobi is an urban centre with a 65% its population living below poverty level and mostly living in shanty areas. You can relatively walk straightforward, as the city centre is small and accessible. Buses can be boarded at any stop and tickets purchased on board. Matatus (Public Minibuses) also operate on city routes throughout the day, and are the most popular form of local public transport. From the town centre to Fullcare centre you could be charged USD 8.00 by a private taxi operator.
Our population suffers from drought, poverty, floods , disease and many calamities.Ther are several international NGO’s working to cambat these problems though a lot has to be done still. Fullcare intends to serve the community around before we can spread to other areas. Our strategy for youths is to equip them with skills to produce a self reliable generation and on the other hand if our nonformal training department becomes fully operational it will produce products which could be sold around to pay for the overhead cost of operation for the entire centre and the would see us survive without asking for grants. Kindly see the map of our country below You can also help by purchasing products produced for the children See pictures and prices of products for sale by the children.
