OUTLOOK OF THIS AREA AND POPULATION : In this area there are around 40000 people living in extremely poor state and they are all below Poverty line. Most of these people are jobless while a number of them engage themselves in Small activities and business that earns them a little for their daily meal only. They live in mud Structures and some builds makeshifts with cartons and timber. These people socializes owing To the fact that they are all-poor and depends on luck. SOCIAL LIFE AND CRIME : Lifestyles of these people is drawn from different tribes and areas of the country .Irrespective of age and gender drunkeredness has prevailed in this village .young and old meet in drinking places and consume the cheaply prepared liquor.Crime is high and immorolarity rate is high. Due to these facts drug abuse and the effects of HIV/AIDS is on higher side,it is estimated that some 12000 are already HIV/AID positive resulting to many children failing to go to school ,kids drop out of school, orphans due to HIV/AIDS scourge PROJECT : Due to the above stated factors prevailing in this area there is great need for people to come In and save this situation which is moving from worse to worst. If one is to save the situation The most affected group are children .We have therefore taken some measurers to assist where we can By setting up a place within these people and cater for these affected children. To begin with We are offering them informal Education the most essential gift you can offer a child, Campaigning against Drugs a vice rampant here. We have several orphans and others who otherwise would not have gotten a chance to go to School at all. There are two mud build rented rooms, which we call classrooms. Children have continued to come especially when we educate people on the effects of drugs and HIV/AIDS. We have around 45 kids who are from four years and above, whereas we only expected a few when we were beginning our day care school as a community based project. However we are now recruiting another group of older boys and girls who have already dropped out of school and just engaging themselves in immorality. They are mainly above 15 years old .We have decided to be equipping them with some skills so that they can be able to depend on themselves in future. Among other things we are to train them on tailoring, sweater making, (knitting) carpentry, life skills, computer applications and others. OUR PLAN : We are now in a hard situation that we cannot help ourselves. There is a need for 1-More rooms and space for the children. 2-A feeding programme for these children . 3-Finance to train our personnel’s on these issues so that we can create an impact to this village as we help to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS and drug misuse. 4-We intend to set up a big home to live with these children and give them life skills, train them in different areas because this would make them marketable for local Opportunities, and they would not opt to go to drugs and immorality. Currently we have no One to rely on for any assistant, which we dearly need. With funds we can even set up a Workshop for the trained tailors, sweater knitters, carpenters and the ones with computer skills and they can give these services to the community. OUTCRY : We are therefore appealing to any well-wisher or donors who may be willing to come and see Our situation and the efforts we are making to assist these children. The assistance may come In whichever way that is material or cash so that these project may stand and remain forever. For your contributions in terms of materials we are in need of: Sewing machines-10 Knitting machines-10 Computers-5 For the young children, Learning materials Books Pens Uniforms and other clothes/new or old.
