Firwel Crafts is a small Cottage Craft business in West Cornwall.


We are suppliers to selected gifts shops and to retail customers via mail order from our website, we are not a bricks and mortar shop.


We produce sculptures on many different subjects, however not all are available on our website as some are specially requested commissions.


We became established in 1996 when we produced our first dragon "Frazzle" which started our dragon collection.


Due to it's popularity we made more dragons until eventually we found ourselves with a small collection, and then soon started producing other subjects.


In 1999 with the continued growth of the Internet we decided to join the rest of the world and produced our website.


All our work is completely handcrafted and individually numbered limited editions, each piece is accompanied with a signed authentication certificate.


The procedure we take when we have a new idea. We usually draw a sketch first of the design, then we produces a clay sculpture. When the sculpture is finished we then take a mould from the original clay piece, this then enables us to make a limited amount of casts from each mould. Finally after each cast has been fettled, each one is then hand painted, very often with the use of an airbrush.


The procedure to bring out a new piece usually takes many months before it's ready for our collectors to purchase.
