Sponsoring skills training to school dropouts Skill attainment is a rare achievement here, keeping in mind that meeting the most basic needs is itself a struggle. Children normally go through 8 years of education in primary school and 4 years of secondary education after which they could join the tertiary institutions for further education geared towards skills attainment for either formal employment or self employment. Our skills training program is basically focusing mainly on out-of -school youth who dropped out of school due to inability to pay school fees and are already too old to resume formal education. Our skills training is geared towards sponsoring such children to the various training institutions that provide such skills like tailoring. Mechanics, computers, masonry etc. These middle skills will eventually help in future self-reliance. With time and resources we would be able to put up our own training center to cater for the ever increasing numbers of those in need. While much emphasize is put to rehabilitate the non-school-going children, much encouragement is put to prevent such children from dropping out of school to enable them explore their full potential through the formal educational system by encouraging sponsors to help the children complete school to the highest possible and according to each child's potentials. We encourage helping these children of all ages and levels. All need our love, understanding and help as all are in dire need. Where do they attend schools For the primary education, all children are enrolled into the various local schools where possible nearest to where they live. This sometimes would be a working distance to help minimize or/and eliminating cost of transport to and from school! In case of secondary education schools are scattered in diverse areas and locations, children are helped to schools with boarding facilities. This serves many purposes: this helps the poor children receive a balanced diet and medical care which are not available in their homes in addition to good education. Selection of schools is done with caution so that only those meet certain reasonable standards are selected.
